The basic-education policy aims for every child to have a minimum school career of nine uninterrupted years and places strong emphasis on access, completion and inclusion.
At Upper Basic level, the curriculum is intended to provide broad competencies in languages, mathematics, science and technology, agriculture, and other life and livelihood skills, while supporting transition to Senior Secondary Education.
