The Education Policy identifies pre-service and in-service teacher development as central to education quality. It calls for professional standards and ethics, systematic in-service training, periodic curriculum review for teacher education and stronger continuing professional development.
Teacher-training curricula are expected to support improved content knowledge, modern pedagogy, ICT in education, distance-learning approaches and continuous school-based professional development.
